For Christmas I received the book The Handbuilt Home from the hubby (after sneakily sending him my amazon wishlist), and we were anxious to start a project from the book soon after. We decided to start with something quick and easy, and I thought that these gallery shelves would be perfect right above my desk.
I had originally planned to restring my inspiration board horizontally and hang it above my desk, but I also wanted a place to sit books, calendars, pictures, etc. And since the inspiration board would definitely not hold heavy things, I was immediately loving the gallery shelf idea.
I sent Chris to Home Depot one Saturday morning, and by Sunday evening they were assembled, painted, and hanging on my wall. I absolutely love them, and encourage you to make some if you have the space. So easy and inexpensive- I’m almost tempted to make some for Dax’s room too.
